Using the context menu
The context menu provides quick access to actions for a specific file or folder while browsing in MediaLab. To open it, right-click on a file or folder and choose from the available options.
Folder Context Menu
- Open – Open the folder (same as left-click).
- Edit – Rename the folder.
- Copy – Copy the folder to another location within MediaLab.
- Move – Move the folder to a different location within MediaLab.
- Delete – Delete the folder and its contents (items are moved to Trash before permanent deletion).
- Archive – Move the folder to the archive, all source files will be sent to the configured archive destination.
- Restore – Retrieve the folder and all its contents from archive storage.
- Notifications – Enable notifications for specific actions (e.g., uploads, comments).
File Context Menu
- Open – Open the file.
- Info – View file details.
- Edit – Change the file name, description, and metadata.
- Download – Download the source file.
- Copy – Copy the file to another location within MediaLab.
- Move – Move the file to a different location within MediaLab.
- Delete – Delete the file (moved to Trash before permanent deletion).
- Edit Thumbnail – Change or replace the generated thumbnail. See related article
- Re-create – Re-process or regenerate the file. See related article
- Embed – Get an embed code or link for the file. See related article
- Share – Share the file via email or link.
- Push – Send the file to an external FTP server. See related article
- Add to Playlist – Add the file to a playlist.
- Statistics – View file statistics.
- Archive – Move the file to the archive, the source will be sent to the configured archive destination.
- Restore – Retrieve the file from archive storage.
