WB ITP's commercial function is distribution. Every title in the catalogue eventually needs to reach the right licensee, broadcaster or international colleague in the right format, on their window. Every internal production goes through review cycles that need to happen before any of that starts.
Those are two different jobs. In many media companies they live in two different systems, each with its own permission model, its own upload workflow, and its own audit trail.
That works until it doesn't:
- Screeners get sent through channels built for something else.
- Access to distribution packages gets granted in ways internal reviewers don't have visibility into.
- When something has to be pulled back or re-issued, no single system holds the full record.
WB ITP deployed MediaLab as the environment for the full content lifecycle across international distribution and internal screening.
Content enters MediaLab from productions. It’s organised for market-specific distribution packages and delivered to licensees and broadcasting partners under time-limited, scoped access. The same environment surfaces content for internal screening review, with access granted only to what a given reviewer needs to see. Watermarking, access windows, and audit logs apply across both flows because they run on the same infrastructure.
The file that enters is the file that gets screened, approved, packaged, and distributed.
WB ITP now runs its outbound distribution and its internal viewing on one platform with a single access model. Content moves from ingest to licensee delivery without manual re-routing between systems. Internal teams screen the same content that will ship to partners, on scoped access rather than separate screener links
