# Inverted colors in uploaded images

If the colors of an uploaded picture appear inverted, the issue is likely due to the image’s **color model**.

Images prepared for printing often use the **CMYK** color model (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). Computer monitors and web browsers, however, use the **RGB** color model (red, green, blue).

Because CMYK is not well supported on screens, images in this mode may appear incorrectly, sometimes showing as color-inverted or negative.

To fix this, convert the image to **RGB color mode** before uploading it to MediaLab.
