# Using FTP to upload or download files

MediaLab supports **uploading** files via FTP, but does **not** support downloading files through FTP.

**Uploading via FTP**

You can upload files to your MediaLab environment using our FTP upload feature. See the <a href="/support/core/uploading/uploading-files-via-ftp">FTP Upload</a> article for setup instructions and requirements.

**Downloading via FTP**

Direct downloads from MediaLab via FTP are not supported. If you need to send files to an external FTP server, you can use the <a href="/support/core/integrations/push-add-on">Push add-on</a> to deliver files from your MediaLab environment to the destination server.
