# Restricting download access

When sharing a file in MediaLab, you can control whether recipients are able to download the source file and/or the preview file.

### How to Restrict Downloads

- Tick or untick the **Download source** and **Download preview** options when creating your share link.
- If both options are unticked, no **Download** button will appear on the share page.
- Recipients will still be able to view or stream the media online.
