# Pull add-on

The **Pull add-on** allows you to upload files to MediaLab via remote **S3**, **Azure**, **FTP** or **UDP** servers. It can be used to create watch folders with cloud storage services such as **S3 buckets**, **Azure storage containers** or **FTP servers**.

To set up a watch folder on your local computer, we recommend using our [MediaLab Connect app](https://www.medialab.co/support/onboarding/desktop-app/installing-logging-ml-connect).
It is also possible to [upload to our FTP server](https://www.medialab.co/support/core/uploading/uploading-files-via-ftp).

### Setting Up a Pull Profile

1. Go to **Settings → Cloud storage → Pull profiles**.
2. Click **+ (Add)** and give your new profile a name (e.g., _Avid import_).
3. To adjust settings, click **Edit**:
   - Select or create a cloud connection.
   - Assign users to receive notifications when new files are uploaded.
   - Choose a target folder (by default, a new folder will be created with the profile’s name).
4. Click **Save** to confirm changes.
5. Click **Activate** to enable the profile.

The remote path will now be monitored, and new files will be imported automatically.

**Note:** You must be an administrator to access this feature. The Pull add-on must be enabled for your Lab — contact support if it is not available.
