# FileCatalyst support

**FileCatalyst** allows files to be uploaded over **UDP connections**, making transfers much faster for long-distance uploads or very large files. It is similar to other accelerated transfer tools such as **Aspera**, which can also be integrated with MediaLab.

MediaLab offers a **FileCatalyst add-on**, enabling uploads through their **Express** or **Hotfolder** clients.
