# Cloud storage support (S3 and Azure)

MediaLab supports **S3-compatible storage** and **Azure Blob storage** as part of its hybrid cloud infrastructure.

If you join our cloud platform, we can provide container storage for you, or — depending on your workflow — support bring-your-own (BYO) storage containers.

With cloud containers enabled, you can assign a container for each file format. For example:

- Store **source files** in one container.
- Store **MP4s and JPGs** used for playback in another.

This setup makes it easy to optimize and manage your cloud storage costs.

Each cloud container can also be configured with a **custom CDN** to ensure high availability for playback. Contact our service desk to get started.

### Archiving Considerations

If the Archiving add-on is enabled, cloud container behavior changes. Source files can be moved automatically to **archive-tier storage containers** when placed in a special Archive folder inside MediaLab.

### Viewing Configured Cloud Containers

To view your current setup:

1. Go to **Settings → Cloud containers**.
2. Create or edit containers from compatible cloud connections
