# Folder deletion is limited to administrators

Only **Administrators** can remove folders in MediaLab. Regular users and uploaders are not allowed to delete folders, even if they have been granted manage rights.

This restriction exists because folders may contain subfolders that the user cannot see or access. Since permissions can be assigned at all levels, allowing folder deletion could unintentionally remove content that the user isn’t aware of.

**Example**

- A user has manage rights for **Customer X** but no access to **Customer Y**.
- Both are subfolders under a parent folder named **Customers**.
- If the user could delete the **Customers** folder, it would also remove **Customer Y**, even though they had no visibility or rights to it.

To keep the system safe and straightforward, folder removal is reserved for Administrators only.
