Today, April 23, 2019, it is the World Book and Copyright Day. In our previous blog, we mentioned that the European Parliament has approved the so-called upload filter. With this directive, we advise you to think extra carefully before you upload content. This also applies to software piracy. Software piracy is without permission copying or spreading copyrighted software.
Originally, the World Book and Copyright Day celebrates the stimulation of reading, publishing and protecting intellectual property as literature through copyright. The last couple of years the scope of literature is extended. From now on this memorable day also applies to speeches, artworks, journalistic work, software and media such as movies, photos, and music.
